Monday was a special and exciting day for the Blaine Volunteer Fire Department.
After several years of hard work, groundbreaking finally began on the new construction of the near $1 million fire station.
“The new station will be a tremendous asset to the people of Blaine, Martha and the surrounding area, Deputy Lawrence Co. Judge/Exec. Vince Doty said. “We thank Governor Beshear, Rocky Adkins, Department of Local Government and Eric Ratliff from Big Sandy ADD for all their help in making this day possible.”
