EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Based upon current dry and predicted weather conditions, and the extreme danger of forest fires in Lawrence County, I, Phillip Carter, County Judge Executive of Lawrence County, do hereby issue the following Executive Order effective immediately, March 12, 2025.

All outdoor burning in Lawrence County is prohibited under the authority of KRS 149.401. This prohibition is in effect until further notice. I urge all Lawrence County citizens to comply with the order so that we can preserve Lawrence County’s timber resources.
