March, 1990 — April, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brad Michael Salmons, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Brad was born in Huntington, West Virginia on March 20, 1990, and spent his life bringing joy and laughter to those around him. He lived an adventurous life, always ready to embark on a new journey or tackle a new challenge. As a laborer at Asplundh, he was known for his hard work, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his colleagues and his craft.
Brad was a man of many talents, and he pursued his passions with fervor. A gifted guitarist, his music filled the air with melodies that touched hearts and lifted spirits. An avid 4-wheeler rider, his free spirit was most evident when he was riding through the West Virginia hills, the wind in his hair, a smile on his face. He was a beacon of joy, love, and strength for his family and friends, illuminating their lives with his infectious laughter and warm, welcoming smile.
Brad is survived by his father, Michael Salmons; his mother, Paula Robinett; his grandmother, Lottie Perry; his siblings, Michael (Linda) Salmons, David (Sarah) McCallister, Tara (Jon) Campioni, Michelle (Tim) Dunn, and Amy (J.R.) Ethel; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther Salmons, Louise Salmons, and Joseph Perry. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to live on through the beautiful music he created, the trails he blazed, and the love he shared.
The visitation and funeral service will take place at the Young Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm. The interment will follow at the Fort Gay Cemetery. In honor of Brad’s life and the joy he brought to us all, we invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos of Brad on his memorial page. As we gather to celebrate his life, let us remember the love, laughter, and light he brought into our lives.
