“The Best Little Festival in Kentucky” Brings Two Days of Music, Entertainment and Family Fun to Downtown Louisa
LOUISA, Ky. — Downtown Louisa will once again come alive with music, entertainment, food, vendors and community spirit as Lawrence County Septemberfest returns Friday and Saturday, September 11–12, 2026.
Known as “The Best Little Festival in Kentucky,” Septemberfest has become one of the region’s favorite annual traditions, bringing together families, friends and visitors from across Eastern Kentucky and the surrounding Tri-State area for a weekend of free entertainment and activities in the heart of downtown Louisa.
“We look forward to Septemberfest all year long,” said Harold Slone, Chairman of Lawrence County Septemberfest. “This festival is about bringing people together, showcasing our community and giving families an opportunity to enjoy a great weekend right here in downtown Louisa. We have an outstanding entertainment lineup this year, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back.”

In addition to live entertainment, visitors can enjoy the sights, sounds and flavors that have made Septemberfest a tradition for generations, including food, vendors, carnival attractions and activities throughout downtown Louisa.
The festival also provides an important opportunity for local nonprofit and community organizations. For many participating organizations, Septemberfest is one of their most important fundraising opportunities of the year, with proceeds supporting programs and services throughout Lawrence County.
Septemberfest would not be possible without the generous support of local businesses, organizations, volunteers, sponsors, city and county departments, public safety personnel and countless individuals who contribute their time and resources each year.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helps make this festival possible,” Slone said. “Septemberfest belongs to this community. Whether you’re volunteering, sponsoring, operating a booth, performing on stage or simply bringing your family downtown to enjoy the weekend, you are part of what makes it special.”
Lawrence County Septemberfest 2026 will be held Friday and Saturday, September 11–12, in downtown Louisa, Kentucky.
