Sheriff Rick Thompson announced today arrests made due to investigations by the WCSD drug enforcement unit.
Charles Finley and Carla Marcum were arrested after a search warrant was issued for their residence near Genoa.
The WCSD Drug Enforcement Unit collected ingredients and chemicals used to manufacture Methamphetamine. Three handguns were also seized from the residence.
Charles has been convicted for two separate felony meth cases in the past and is prohibited from possessing firearms. Both Finley and Marcum are charged with Operating or Attempting to Operate a Clandestine Drug Laboratories, Precursors for Meth, and conspiracy. Finley is also charged for being a felon in possession of firearms. More arrests are expected in this case.
Sheriff Thompson stated that he is “very pleased with the success the WCSD Drug Enforcement Unit has had in the last 3 months.” These arrests push the total arrests to over 20 since January 1 of this year.
Charles Finley, 50 in WRJ on a $100,000 cash only bond.
Carla Marcum, 35 is also in WRJ on a $100,000 cash only bond.
