(LAWRENCE COUNTY, KY.) — At approximately 6:15 A.M. Wednesday April 12th Lawrence County E-911 received a report of a residential structure fire in the 8300 block of Yellow Cr. Rd., Lawrence Co. EMS director Michael E. Woods said this morning.
Cherryville VOL. Fire Department, Lawrence County Emergency Management, Inez VFD and Netcare Ambulance responded to the location. Upon arrival units found a fully involved single wide trailer.
While extinguishing the flames fire members found the deceased body of the occupant of the home. No one else was believed to be in the home at the time of the fire.
Lawrence Co. Coroner Mike Wilson said the tentative ID is a 48 year old male who lived on Yellow Creek Road Louisa. “No foul play is suspected at this time, the body was transported to Frankfort for Autopsy.” Wilson said.
The man’s identity has been released as Riley Franklin on Facebook but Wilson said that information is not correct.

Multiple agencies responded and assisted with the investigation: State Fire Marshall, Inez Fire Department, Cherryville Fire Department, Netcare EMS, Lawrence County Emergency Management and the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office.
The incident remains under investigation by Detectives Sam Lawson and Jason Greene.

Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland Investigating Fatal House Fire
Ashland, Ky. (April 12, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland is investigating a house fire which resulted in a fatality. On Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 07:35 a.m. Lawrence County 911 contacted Post 14 and requested assistance with a residential house fire at 8462 Yellow Creek Road in Louisa, KY.
Detectives responded to the scene and determined one person had died as a result of the fire. The deceased is believed to be a 48 year of age male, but positive identification has not been made at this time.
At this time the investigation is ongoing, but foul play is not suspected. An autopsy is pending and will be conducted in Frankfort, KY.
