Bradford Allen Maynard, a most remarkable man, aged 59, of Louisa, Kentucky, passed away May 16, 2024, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, leaving us way too young and way too soon, after a brief but valiant battle with that horrible scourge, cancer.

Brad was born on September 11, 1964, the younger son of the late Wayne E. and Kay Varney Maynard.

Surviving Brad are his wife, Valarie Hardwick Maynard, Esq., who loved him madly, and his beloved stepchildren, Alex Hardin and Dr. Rachel Hardin. Brad is also survived by his elder brother, Charles Luther “Luke” Maynard and sister-in-law Marna Olive Maynard, and by nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who loved him, and whom he loved.

A visitation and memorial event will be held for family and friends to gather, visit, share memories, and pay last respects, on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Maynard and his family
