Institute, W. Va. — Tolsia (2-2) overcame 13 three pointers from Sherman (1-2) to win their second straight game 71-63 on Saturday afternoon in the FCA Hoops Classic held at West Virginia State University.
Tolsia trailed 16-15 after one period before outscoring the Tide 21-7 to lead 36-23 at the break.
Sherman cut the Rebel lead to 7 points heading to the final period but Tolsia hit 11 free throws in the 4th quarter to preserve the win.
The Rebels placed four players in double figures led by Jonathon Johnson with 17 points, Jacob Mollette who hit 4 three pointers and Jared Switzer who hit 2 three pointers tallied 16 points apiece, Rob Cantrell scored 14 points, Austin Salmons chipped in with 6 points and Tyler Johnson hit 2 free throws for his only points. THS hit 7 three pointers and went 21-37 from the line.

On Monday night the Rebels (2-3) made the long trip to Man and fell 83-68 against the Hillbillies (1-2).
Tolsia trailed 24-8 after one quarter and 50-21 at one point in the second half before cutting the lead to 8 points on a couple different occasions in the 4th quarter, before Man put the game away in the final minutes.
The Rebels placed four in double figures led by Rob Cantrell with 17 points, Jonathon Johnson tallied 15 points, Jared Switzer finished with 14 points, Jacob Mollette had 12 points, Austin Salmons 7 points, Tyler Johnson 2 points and Wayne Williamson 1 point. THS hit 3 three pointers and went 17-38 from the free throw line.

Tolsia will be off until next Wednesday night December 27th when they host Pike Co. Central at Rebel Arena. Then hit the road to Rose Hill on Friday night December 29th to close out 2017.
