Rebel softball star makes Honorable Mention All-State

Charleston, W.V. — Kalynn Salmons, a standout sophomore softball player at Tolsia High school was named Honorable Mention All-State earlier this week. 

Salmons had a batting average of .477 from her leadoff spot, had an on base percentage of .716, smacked 7 doubles, 4 triples, knocked in 20 runs and stole 21 bases. 

In the circle for the Rebels Salmons picked up 8 victories including 2 in the Region 4 tournament. She finished with 142 strikeouts and tossed a no-hitter as well. 

Salmons also made second team all-state as a freshman.
