THORTON EDDIE GOBLE.
A Martin County, Kentucky man will serve twelve (12) years in prison after being sentenced June 18 in Martin Circuit Court on multiple wanton endangerment convictions and a separate felony DUI case.
Martin Circuit Judge John Kevin Holbrook sentenced Thornton Eddie Goble, 63, of Yellow Creek Road, to a total of 12 years in prison after Thorton Goble pleaded guilty last month to five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and a fourth-offense DUI.
In the wanton endangerment case, Thorton Goble received five (5)-year sentences on each of the five counts. The sentences in counts 1 and 2 will run consecutively to one another but concurrently with counts 3, 4 and 5, resulting in a total sentence of ten (10) years.
Thorton Goble will be eligible for parole after serving 20% of that sentence, which would be two (2) years.
In a separate case, Thorton Goble received two years on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, fourth or greater offense.
The DUI sentence will run consecutively to the 10-year sentence in the wanton endangerment case, bringing Goble’s total sentence to 12 years.
Thorton Goble’s wanton endangerment convictions stem from an April 29, 2025, incident on Yellow Creek Road, north of Inez, KY., when he fired a .38-caliber handgun in the presence of his wife, two other adults and two children.
