Louisa Mayor Recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Emphasizes Early Detection

LOUISA, KY — In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mayor Harold Slone visited Three Rivers Medical Center this week to show support for local healthcare workers and highlight the critical role routine screenings play in public health. Early detection saves lives, and the dedicated mammography team at Three Rivers Medical Center is available to support residents through the screening process. To help remove barriers to preventative care, TRMC offers 3D mammography services, including select evening and weekend appointments to accommodate working schedules.

“Breast cancer impacts countless families across our area, and making time for preventative care has to stay at the top of our minds,” said Mayor Harold Slone. “A routine exam can detect issues long before symptoms appear, which gives individuals the best chance at successful treatment. I encourage residents across Louisa to speak with their physician and make early detection a priority.”
