Louisa, Ky. — Even though the temperatures were blistering the annual 4th of July parade and fireworks show was once again well attended this year.

The streets of downtown Louisa were packed for the parade Friday morning and the Plaza was at full capacity for the fireworks show late Friday night.

Jamerson Skaggs was all smiles during the fireworks show in Louisa.

The plaza began filling up around 7:30 with people playing cornhole, tossing football, a sparkler competition, playing catch with a bunch of food trucks around as well just waiting on the sun to go down and the fireworks show to begin.

Kaylin Skaggs was crowned the Plaza sparkler champion
