Greenback, TN. — Former Lawrence County little leaguer JJ Caudill, a Junior at Greenback high school was named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State team last week.
Caudill helped the Cherokees to a 17-9 overall record including a District title, a region runner-up finish and an appearance in Sub-State.
During his Junior campaign he hit .414 with 3 home runs, 3 doubles, 22 runs batted in, walked 14 times and scored 9 runs.
On the mound he was dominate in his 12 starts with a 9-2 record, struck out 75 batters and had a ERA of 1.89 in 64 innings of work.
Caudill was also named District Pitcher of the year, All Region, All two way Team batting over .300 and at least 6 wins/saves to be eligible.
Caudill also made all state after his Freshman season in 2023.

“… He’s a leader on the field and off the field and in the classroom and in the community. He is what a father wants his son to be when he grows up. He’s impactful in every game on the mound at first or in the box. He’s all state twice for a reason and should be a 3 time recipient.”
