FROM 12:00 A.M., JUNE 9, 2025, THRU TO 11:59 P.M., JUNE 15, 2024, (7 DAYS); AT LEAST 70 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES, AND OTHER COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY.
OUT OF THOSE 70 ARRESTS, 19 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. TWO (2) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN A NEIGHBORING COUNTY; BOTH WERE IN JOHNSON COUNTY.
PREVIOUSLY; FROM 12:00 A.M., MAY 31,2025, THRU TO 11:59 P.M., JUNE 8, 2024, (9 DAYS); AT LEAST 61 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES, AND OTHER COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY. OUT OF THOSE 61 ARRESTS, 20 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. TWO (2) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN A NEIGHBORING COUNTY; BOTH WERE IN MARTIN COUNTY.
THE NUMBER OF INMATES THAT WERE BEING HOUSED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY, IN JOHNSON COUNTY, ON MONDAY, JUNE 16, AT 12:01 A.M., WAS 207. THE MAXIMUM DESIGNATED CAPACITY OF THE BSRDC FACILITY IS 225.
HERE ARE THE NAMES OF THE 19 LAWRENCE COUNTY, KY. ARRESTs FROM JUNE 9-15, 2025; ARE AS THE FOLLOWING:
Brian Keith Wolford, 42, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 9, 2025, at 11:58 A.M., by patrolman officer Teddy B. Newsome of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE, • TERRORISTIC THREATENING, 3RD DEGREE, • PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER I, • POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON.

Dalton Eugene Brooks, 51, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 9, 2025, at 8:45 P.M., by deputy Travis Music of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).
 
Matthew Steven Daniels, 34, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 10, 2025, at 5:50 A.M., by deputy Travis Music of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR.
Douglas Combs, 65, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 11, 2025, at 5:53 P.M., by trooper Jordan Sammons of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE.
Traci Leigh Frazier, 38, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 11, 2025, at 6:00 P.M., by trooper Jordan Sammons of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.

Cynthia P. Easter, 73, of Fort Myers, Florida; was arrested on June 11, 2025, at 6:50 P.M., by trooper Zachary Wright of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • SPEEDING 20 MPH OVER LIMIT, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE  SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1C) – 1ST OFFENSE, • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD.
Madline Lenoran Johnson, 20, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on June 11, 2025, at 11:18 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN).
Charles Franklin Marcum, 51, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on June 11, 2025, at 11:19 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN), • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE). Charles Marcumremains in jail, as his bond was set at $10,000 cash bond.
Robert Lee Johnson, 51, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on June 12, 2025, at 2:28 A.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Robert Johnson’s bond was set at $5,000 cash
Sarah Ellen Booth, 38, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on June 12, 2025, at 2:30 A.M., by deputy Travis Music of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS).
Angela Rose Ratliff, 40, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on June 12, 2025, at 5:15 P.M., by court security officer Charlie Curnutte, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Leslie Morgan Triplett, 27, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 12, 2025, at 5:25 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT, • ESCAPE 2ND DEGREE-(IDENTIFY FACILITY).

Thorton Eddie Goble, 62, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County, KY., on June 12, 2025, at 9:39 P.M., by officer Justin Jackson of the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS,  • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 4TH OR > OFFENSE.
Joshua B. Pack, 39, of Ashland, Kentucky; was arrested on June 13, 2025, at 12:22 A.M.,by trooper Ryan Hale of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER, • FAILURE TO APPEAR.
Ronnie Ward, 49, of Lenore, West Virginia; was arrested on June 13, 2025, at 2:32 A.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police-Post 14-Ashland, and was charged with:• REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1C) – 1ST OFFENSE.
Mark Anthony West, 51, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County, KY., on June 13, 2025, at 7:05 A.M., by trooper Mark Spencer of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9-Pikeville,& was charged with: • ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE – DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE, • RECKLESS DRIVING,  • IMPROPER REGISTRATION PLATE, • MENACING, • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION. Mark West remains jailed as his bond is set at $10,000 full cash bond only.
MIke Griffith Jr., 65, of Webbville, Kentucky; was arrested on June 13, 2025, at 8:53 P.M., by deputy Travis Music of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR (2 CHARGES COUNTS), • RESISTING ARREST. Mike Griffith Jr. remains in jail as his bond is set at 11,000 cash only.
Destiny Elliott, 22, of Van Lear,Kentucky; was arrested on June 14,2025, at 6:41 A.M., by trooper Logan Layne of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY,  • RESISTING ARREST.
Joshua M. Howard, 38, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 14, 2025, at 7:15 P.M., by trooper Ryan Hale of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • IMPROPER EQUIPMENT, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 2ND OFFENSE,  • ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A MINOR
