Lexington, Ky. — Lawrence Co. Girls Head Coach Melinda Feltner and Senior Kensley Feltner were named KABC 15th Region coach and player of the year Friday morning.
Kensley leads the state in scoring and is now officially a Miss Basketball candidate which will be announced March 19th in Lexington.
LCHS Head Coach Melinda Feltner has led the Dawgs to a 24-5 record, undefeated in 58th District play, Carolina Invitational Champions.
The Bulldogs will close out the regular season tonight at home versus Greenup Co. and Kensley Feltner only needs four points to reach 4,000 points for her illustrious career.
Lawrence Co. will host the Girls and Boys 58th District tournament beginning Monday at 6:00 with the Lady Bulldogs playing Betsy Layne.
The Boys will play Floyd Central at 8:00 Tuesday night.
