Ky. basketball star Paul Andrews Returns Home to Expand Healthcare Access in Laurel and Whitley County with Kentucky Family Practice

London, KY – 04/09/2025 — Kentucky Family Practice, a primary care clinic in London, Kentucky, proudly announces additional ownership under Paul Andrews and Matt Brown. This transition marks an exciting new chapter in the clinic’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare to the Laurel and Whitley County region.

For Paul Andrews, now the CEO of Kentucky Family Practice, this is more than a business decision – it’s a homecoming. A Laurel County native and celebrated Kentucky basketball legend, Paul famously led his team to a state championship victory with a last-second shot before continuing his collegiate career at the University of Kentucky. Following his success on the court, Paul transitioned into a distinguished healthcare leadership career, serving for several decades as a hospital CEO and healthcare executive. His return to his roots brings a unique blend of passion, experience, and commitment to improving the well-being of the community he has always called home.

“I’ve been blessed with a career that took me all over the country, but my heart never left Laurel County,” said Andrews. “It’s an honor to return and invest in the health of this community. We’re here to build on the legacy of this clinic and ensure it thrives for generations to come.”

Matt Brown

Joining Paul in this endeavor is Matt Brown, a seasoned healthcare executive with nearly 25 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership. Matt has successfully led and grown healthcare operations across several markets and brings operational strength, strategic insight, and a shared commitment to integrated, community-based care.

Under their joint leadership, Kentucky Family Practice plans to enhance services, expand access, and continue delivering patient-centered care to families across the region.

About Kentucky Family Practice:

Kentucky Family Practice has served London and the surrounding areas as a trusted provider of primary care for years. With a renewed vision under new ownership, the clinic is poised to deepen its impact and grow its role as a healthcare leader in Southeastern Kentucky.
