All of Kentucky can expect high wind gusts today.

WKY has a wind advisory through this afternoon, with gusts of 40-45 MPH.

CKY will have wind gusts today occasionally reaching 40-50 MPH. Most likely time for strongest winds will be from mid-morning through afternoon. It will remain breezy tonight with wind gusts of 25-35 MPH. WKY has a wind advisory. After a lull early this morning, winds are expected to intensify again during the daytime hours.

Expect wind gusts greater than 35 mph across ALL of Eastern Kentucky today. Kentucky Emergency Management

Expect wind gusts greater than 35 mph across ALL of Eastern Kentucky today. Isolated gusts in excess of 50 mph cannot be ruled out.

• RVs and Trailers are not safe shelters from strong winds, Wind gusts can flip them over, whether parked or in motion
• Store or secure loose items before strong winds, Patio furniture, trash cans, trampolines
• The safest place is inside, in an interior room, away from windows
• Prepare your home by trimming trees and repairing loose siding & shutters
