LOUISA GIRL SCOUT TROOP PLANTS COMMUNITY GARDEN
Troop 1870 lead by Girl Scout Troop Leader Michelle Marcum are growing a community garden on Lackey Ave. The girls wanted something to give back to the community also teaching them responsibility and growing a garden was perfect. Cathy Kise Wells of The Lawrence County Extension Office was kind enough to come out and teach the girls how to raise and importance of caring for a garden. The vegetables will be free to the community.
Girl Scout Troop 1870 includes Natalee Chapman, Autumn Robinette, Annaleigh Vanhoose, Jordan Gibbins, Reese Gibbins, Raschelle Bartlett, Zoe Robertson.
