24 month long investigation nets 19 count OXY sting
Two People from Lawrence Co. Arrested For Federal Drug Distribution By US Federal Marshalls, KY State Police and Lawrence Co. Sheriffs Department
On November 14, 2016 the home of Glen and Heather Fluty was raided after a lengthy investigation beginning in October, 2014 by several law enforcement agencies and a Federal Indictment was served on each of the residents.
According to the indictment, Heather Fluty, 37 of Lawrence County is charged with 10 separate charges of Drug Distribution. Charge #1 Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) Charges 2-10 Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone).
Mrs. Fluty was arraigned in a federal court in Lexington, KY. yesterday and is currently being held in Carter Co. Detention Center. Bond has not been announced.
Glenn Fluty, 43 husband of Heather is also named in the federal indictment with 9 drug distribution charges. Charge 1 in the indictment is Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone), charges 2-9 Distribution of a Controlled Substance, namely Oxycodone.
Mr. Fluty was also arraigned yesterday in Lexington, KY in Federal Court and has now been transferred back to Carter Co. Detention Center. Carter Co. Detention Center has the capability to hold Federal Prisoners.
