Traffic shift on KY 32 in Lawrence County moves motorists onto new alignment
LAWRENCE COUNTY – November 16, 2016 – Traffic on KY 32 between US 23 and KY 2565 in Lawrence County will shift to the new alignment starting tomorrow, Thursday, November 17. Motorists need to pay attention to signs and a flashing signal at the intersection of KY 32 and KYK 2565.
Doug Wright, Section Engineer at Highway District 12, said there will be a flashing signal at the intersection. Traffic on the KY 32 side will have a red flashing signal, meaning a stop, for the next two weeks, while traffic on the KY 2565 will have a yellow flashing signal to indicate through traffic using caution.
Message boards and signs will guide vehicles into the correct traffic lanes. The old section of KY 32 will be closed to traffic. Local residents can use old KY 32 back to KY 2565. On the other end of the project, Town Hill Road will be closed to through traffic. Motorists can use KY 2565 for access.
