EAGLE RIDGE GOLF LEAGUE NEWS 
Although we had a ton of rain, the course was very playable, and the greens were holding their speed.
Tuesday, we played the back nine. Attendance was down due to the rain. Some members who arrived early were there when it commenced raining quite hard. They left, confident that no golf would be played for the night. I, on the other hand, waited at home until the rain stopped and the clouds started to break. The result was that we only had 14 players for Tuesday night. Actually, after the storm, and until the last 2 holes where it got extremely muggy, the playing conditions were very comfortable.
The result of this on and off weather which we have had for the last several weeks, only 14 players were there for the round. Of the 14 players, 10 achieved or bettered their handicap, which meant their net score was par or better,. Ten birdies were also carded. Be it known that I am not among the 10 players who equaled or bettered their handicap or received a birdie. However, I must say that I managed to hit one amazing shot that I can claim. I stroked a straight putt from a flat lie that missed the hole at a 45° angle. That was the poorest putt I have ever hit or even seen.
