Lawrence Co. Head Coach Justin Adkins

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Really good game for us, second time we have played them this year and they were good enough to come to us early in the year and we both had teams cancel on us so we put this game together and it was only our second game in week. They have a really good freshman infield and the future is bright for this program. A lot of Duster girls and I think had five that played on Hallie’s travel team as well. I know their post-season starts soon so good luck to them the rest of the way.”

“… We have been working on taking that pitch the other way and it was great to see some balls get driven into the alley and get to the fence. If we stay on it and drive it to right center we are tough to beat. When we try and pull everything that’s when we don’t hit it as hard. Let it travel and stay through the softball.”

“… Taylor Blevins was really good tonight and we need her going forward. Had one tough outing, the moment got big but she has pitched in big moments before and I’m not scared to put her right back out there in the same situation next time. Good thing was we got down early but never quit and fought our way right back into game and the balls bounces this way or play here or there we could have won. Great experience for our girls for the first time being there and we have to learn to win those type of games.”
