Gene Wilson Blvd was lit up by flames on August 26 as the owner and editor of The Levisa Lazer’s house was engulfed in flames that could be seen all the way in downtown in Louisa.
Louisa Fire Department responded quickly and jumped into action and later was accompanied by several other
local departments. It took several hours to get the fire under control and put out. Mark and his wife were asleep when the fire started and their dog Raisin started barking and evidentially woke them up to alert them of the fire. Mark was able to get himself and his wife out of the home with minor injuries. Their beloved dog Raisin went and hid under the computer desk which was where she would go when she got scared and was found by the Louisa Fire Dept. The cause of the fire was an outside flood light. An electrical fire one of the top seven reasons for a house fire. Mark stated that you don’t realize how quick a fire can spread until you are in it and it goes fast. Family, friends and neighbors all came out to support the Grayson’s as they all watched the blaze. The family is very appreciative of all who helped that evening.
Lazer computer equipment was damaged in the blaze and we are currently working on retrieving lost pictures and other items for future posts. Please be patient as we are attempting to be back fully at the end of the week.
I am so very sorry for Mark and his family. My heart goes out to Raisin, she was a real hero. If God sees even a sparrow when it falls, (And he does). That little dog is in good hands now. My prayers are with the family.
So sorry to hear about this. I wish you the best in getting your life and business back in order.
So sorry to hear your brave little hero didn’t make it. I’m sure it is traumatic to lose everything so Suzie and I have added you to our prayer list. Keep the faith.

What piece os scum leaves the fur baby that saved their lives?????????😡😡😡😡
She ran back in the house to her “safe place” Did not have time to go in for her, you ignorant scumbag.
Mark said it well enough. However until you live through a loss of your home to a fire (AS I HAVE) you don’t have a clue as to what you will or won’t do. Walk a mile…
Whoever you are, you are one ignorant, stupid, dumba__ person. Only heartless stupid people make comments like you did not knowing anything about the situation! I hope you ask God for forgiveness and apologise publicly !
Am heartbroken over this. Loved that little dog. She would always want to play when I was there. So thankful Mark and Glenda are safe. People have no idea how smart, special, and important animals are. I texted Mark, but guess phone was in the the house. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

Praying for you. Sorry about the loss of your precious pet, Raisin. Thank the Lord that Raisin gave the alarm. I know you are grieving for her.
It is amazing how quickly in seconds that a fire can roar through a house. Thank the Lord that you and your wife were able to escape that inferno!
In His Name and LOOKING UP!
Diane
SO sorry to hear this, Mark & Glenda and terribly sorry to hear about your little dog raisin prayers and love, so happy to hear you both made it out ok.
So so sorry to hear this will be praying for you and Glenda. Love you guys.
Mark and Glenda, our dear friends, we thank God that you did not perish in the fire or get badly burned which is something that could have easily happened, Although you had a remarkably lovely home, it will be replaced in time and things will return to normal. By the way, thank you for the Lazer, a remarkable production. (Loyce and John Kirk)
