Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence County’s Ky. Miss Basketball candidate Kensley Feltner eclipsed the 4,000 point mark and Sophie Adkins drilled a three pointer as time ran out and Lawrence Co. ( 25-5 ) squeaked by Greenup Co. 61-58 Friday night.

Lawrence Co. trailed 58-56 with 29 seconds left when Feltner tied the score on a layup, after the Dawgs forced a Greenup Co. miss, Feltner drove toward the basket and was cut off at the foul line before finding Adkins for the game winning three pointer as time expired.

Feltner finished with 33 points, Adkins totaled 15 points, Abby Nelson added 8 points, Emmalee Holt netted 3 points and Kaison Ward chipped in with 2 points.
Lawrence Co. hit 7 three pointers and went 8 of 9 from the free throw line.

Kensley Feltner scored 42 points to lead the Bulldogs to the road victory, Leandra Curnutte added 12 points, Abby Nelson finished with 9 points, Sophie Adkins netted 8 points, Emmalee Holt, Kaison Ward, Abby Maynard and Addison Bloomfield had 2 points apiece, Madison Artrip chipped in with 2 points.
Lawrence Co. hit 12 three pointers and went 13 of 20 from the free throw line.
Lawrence Co. will host the 58th District tournament and will be the #1 seed against #4 Betsy Layne on Monday at 6:00 pm.
#2 Floyd Central will face #3 Prestonsburg at 7:30 Monday night.
The Championship game will be Wednesday at 7:00.
