February 16, 1947 — June 6, 2026
Linda Lee Wagner, age 79, of Marysville, Ohio, formerly of Louisa, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026.
She was born February 16, 1947, in Springfield, Ohio to the late Robert and Betty (Weaver) King.
Linda worked as a school bus driver for Lawrence County Schools, previously an over-the-road truck driver. She loved hats & music and was always dancing—everyone knew her for that. She enjoyed reading, helping others, and treasure hunting at garage sales—where she was known to spot a flower she liked and either ask for a start or playfully grab a piece to root at home.
She absolutely loved her family and was very proud in addition, all “her kids” on the bus, treating them as her own, giving them advice, listening, and earning the loving nickname, Mama Linda.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care and love poured into Linda’s final days by the staff at The Gables of Marysville, who even made sure she was always in her favorite Rolling Stones shirt. Special thanks also to Bellacare Hospice for their compassionate support during her transition.
Linda is survived by her three daughters: Kellie Merriman (Tim) Penick, Kelli (Ben Hylton) Dooley, and Stacie (Perry) Carper. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Emilie, Luke, Jai, Austin, Mace, and Cynthia, along with six great-grandchildren and two on the way. She is also survived by brothers John (Ednita) King and Richard King, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sisters, Rosemary (Rick) Ewing and Jean Allison.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, spread joy & kindness, wear a hat & dance to the music!!
Arrangements are entrusted to VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
