CASE REPORTED HAPPENED IN 2023, ALL THREE ARRESTS TAKING PLACE APRIL 2026

CHILD SEX CREEP NUMBER #1: JAMES M. BARNES SR., 47, OF FLEMINGSBURG, KENTUCKY.

On Monday, April 6, 2026 Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 8-Morehead, KY., received a new report of Sexual Abuse allegations stemming from an active investigation involving James M. Barnes Sr., 47, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, who had fled to Alabama in 2023, but was found and arrested in Fleming County, KY., on early Tuesday evening, April 14, 2026, by KSP Post 8 trooper Tyler Smith, where he was charged with:

*SEXUAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE, VICTIM UNDER/12 YEARS OF AGE; and  he was taken to and was lodged in the Mason County Detention Center in Maysville, Kentucky; where he is currently being held on a $500,000 full cash bond.

CHILD SEX CREEP NUMBER #2: JOSEPH STEPHAN MCCLURE, 39, OF FLEMINGSBURG, KENTUCKY.

 

Troopers responded to River Road in Fleming County and spoke with Joseph Stephan McClure, 39 of Flemingsburg Kentucky.  After a lengthy interview Joseph McClure was placed under arrest and lodged in the Mason County Detention Center on the following charges:

*INCEST;

*RAPE, 1ST DEGREE;

*SODOMY, 3RD DEGREE; and

*TERRORISTIC THREATENING, 3RD DEGREE. 

 
 

ALLEGED TO FAILURE TO REPORT CHILD SEX CREEP NUMBER #3: AARIN MCCLURE, 38, OF FLEMINGSBURG, KENTUCKY.

The troopers also spoke with and arrested Aarin D. McClure, 38, of Flemingsburg Kentucky, charging her with: 

*FAILURE TO REPORT CHILD DEPEND NEGLECT OR ABUSE 1ST OFFENSE.

She has since posted her bond and has been released from the Mason County Detention Center.  

 

This case remains under investigation by KSP-Post 8 trooper Tyler Smith.
