COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Pikeville came out determined and gave us a run for our money. Ending the half at 1-1 was not where we wanted to be, but the girls dug deep and got 2 more goals while holding them off the second half. Tonight was a good win, but time to focus on round 2.”
LCHS Boys Head Coach Scott Johnson
COACH’S COMMENTS
“ It was a good game. Paintsville kept it tight for the first 20 minutes or so and we didn’t get a lot of scoring opportunities. We moved the ball around a lot and I think we wore them down. Aiden was able to slip one in with 24 left in the half and we went up 5 before the first whistle.
“…It was a solid night defensively and something we can build on heading into our match with Johnson Central on Tuesday. They have gotten the better of us twice this season and we are looking forward to another great game.”
