Louisa, Ky. — Over 200 boys and girls from the ages of 6-12 showed up on Tuesday and Wednesday for the second annual Bryce Blevins Baseball/Softball Camp at Stella Moore Park.

Even though the weather was hot and humid both days this camp was well organized and attended.

This year Bryce added softball to the camp and it was a smashing success.

LEAGUE ORGANIZER

“… I just wanted to get on here and say thank you to each and every single person that made my Second Camp run so smoothly. The past two days we have had up to 140 kids come out and simply have fun and learn more about the game.

I have been blessed in life to be surrounded by such a great family and people. I would like to personally get on here and say thank you to my Dad. Without him, this camp would never have ran as smoothly as it did. Secondly, I would like to thank my Uncle (Steven Blevins) who has always been by my side through the years and still helps me and the younger kids become a better baseball player when he easily could sit back and watch instead.

A big thank you to my teammates, Cam Harthan, Jack Smith, Aj Havrilla, and Tyler Maynard. I know having you guys there made the kids day even better. Lastly, a big thank you to the parents for bringing your kid in the middle of the week bright and early and allowing me to help them grow in the game of baseball. You all will never know how much I appreciate each and every one of you. This camp may be about baseball but at the end of the day, seeing your kid smile throughout the day and have the time of their life is more important than any game they may ever play.

Thank you again to everyone that made this camp such a great success. I can’t wait to get back out there next year for Year 3 of my own Baseball Camp!”

“…Also, can’t wait to see everyone come out to Jack Cook Field next spring and watch the Herd play some baseball! See everyone again soon!

Autumn Blevins

“… Thank you Haleigh Adkins, Abby Darnley, Shelby Blevins for helping put on a high level and fun camp for the tri-state area!

Softball has brought so much joy to my life and led me to my husband, Steven Blevins, who worked hard with Ben Blevins behind the scenes to make this all happen.  I am grateful to everyone involved and appreciate Bryce Blevins for agreeing to let us add in softball this time around.  Sports are fun and life-changing. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share with young people the skills and lessons I’ve learned along the way, so that they may experience the love and joy in sports!”

Be sure to catch Abby, Haleigh, Bryce, and all of the other Marshall instructors in action this spring!

Go Herd! 💚
