KY 707 in Lawrence County to Close for Pipe Replacement Tuesday, July 29

Crews will work from 8AM to 4:30PM

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (July 28, 2025) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 12 advises motorists that KY 707 will be closed Tuesday, July 29, for a pipe replacement project in Lawrence County.

Crews will close KY 707 at mile point 4.652 near Nebo Hill and Blaine Creek Road, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to replace a large drainage pipe beneath the roadway. The work will require the road to be cut completely across, making it impassable during the scheduled work period.

Due to the full-width excavation, no traffic, including emergency vehicles, will be able to pass through the work zone. All motorists must plan ahead and utilize an alternate route during the closure.

KYTC District 12 appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we perform this necessary infrastructure improvement.
