2017 LAWRENCE COUNTY FAIR

4-H/FFA Livestock Show

Thursday Night Small Animal Show.

 

 

Open Shows mean we allow kids from other counties to come show and these animals are normally the more fancy breeds and are mostly pets, they are judged by breed characteristics, cleanliness, etc. The Market animals are ones that get judge on meat potential.

Showmanship is when the judge focuses less on the animal and more on the exhibitor. Kids are asked questions about their animals, such as breed, age, what they are fed, etc. They are also judged on how well they take care of the animal and how much they have worked with it.

Cloverbud exhibitors are those between the age of 5-8. These kids only receive participation ribbons. They are not placed 1^st. 2^nd or 3^rd.
