William “Lee” Peters also known to many as “Pee Wee”, 70, of Louisa, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington, surrounded by his loving family.
Lee retired as a machine operator from the Norfolk Southern Railroad. Following a successful double lung transplant eight years ago and after his recovery, he also gave his life to the Lord and attended the Louisa Freewill Baptist Church, he also dedicated his time to serving his community as a valued staff member at Young Funeral Home in Louisa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas “Pete” and Anne Beth Peters; his brother, Henry Peters; and his son, Donald “Donnie” Hickman.
Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Nora Peters; his sister, Beth (Dean) Bradley, his sister in law Pat Peters, half brother William “Bill” Peters; and his daughters, Nicole (Daniel) Kelley and Norma (Matt) Butts. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Blake and Brayden Cook, Caelan Kelley, Tessa (Michael Lester) Copley and Britny (Deven) Thompson; his adored great-grandchildren, Carmen, Charlene, Theron, and Greyer; as well as a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cecil Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Peters and his family.
