UPDATE: MISSING MAN’S BODY FOUND IN FORT GAY AREA

UPDATE: WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A death investigation is underway in Wayne County after a man’s body was found Saturday in the Fort Gay area, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday.

The body has been identified as Caleb Marcum.

Sheriff Rick Thompson said Marcum’s death is under investigation. It’s not clear now if it was a suspicious death.

Thompson said Marcum’s body was found on Paddle Creek. Additional details were unavailable late Monday.

Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a missing person case.

Sheriff Thompson stated that Caleb Taylor Marcum, 19, is missing from Fort Gay since the evening of Wednesday August 7.

 

Caleb’s vehicle was located in the Paddle Creek area.

Caleb is 5’10” 245 lbs with blue eyes and brown hair.
