Wayne County Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that (5) people have been arrested for drug warrants issued by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit. Sheriff Thompson stated that the US Marshals Cuffed Task Force arrested three suspects last Wednesday, one Friday, and the fifth suspect turned themselves in.
Sheriff Thompson stated that arrests stemmed from four separate drug investigations in the Lavalette and Kenova area by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit.
Sheriff Thompson stated that George ‘Joe’ Ramey and Cassandra Hazlett, both of Fort Gay, were each charged with Conspiracy to Distribute 5 to 50 Grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver, and Pseudoephedrine Altered. Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit made a traffic stop on the suspect’s and recovered a distribution quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine. George handed the Methamphetamine to Cassandra to hide in her underwear when the traffic stop was initiated.
Amber Doss, of Fort Gay, is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver and Pseudoephedrine Altered. Amber was in possession of a distribution quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine and digital scales.
Tammy Holt, of Prichard, turned herself in and is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver. The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit interrupted a drug transaction where Tammy was selling several pain pills to a pair from Ashland.
