Wanda F. Brewer, 83, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 21, 2024. Wanda was born April 13, 1941 in Mingo County, West Virginia to the late Joe and Myrtle Smith, Sr.

Wanda was a member of the Louisa Church of God. She retired from General Motors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Lee Brewer, Sr.; sister Ruby Messer; and brother Johnny Smith.

Survivors include her children Jennifer (Randy) Mitchell, John Lee (Tanayea) Brewer, Jr., and LaVonna (Danny) Wallace; grandchildren Randy Mitchell, II, Andy Mitchell, Sabrina Carden, Arianna Brewer, Jasmine Pollard, SuVonna Wallace and John D. Wallace; great grandchildren Wyatt Mitchell, Wesley Mitchell, and  Emmitt Carden; sisters Phyllis Simms, Diana Thompson, and Anna King; and brothers Joe Smith, Jr. and Randy Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 28, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Fort Gay Church of God with Brother John Lee Brewer, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery on Mill Creek.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fort Gay Church of God.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Brewer and her family.
