Viking Elite Awarded at Banquet
Trophies presented to students for academic achievement
Fort Gay PK-8 school hosted an awards banquet for students and their families on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Students who were in grades 3-8 during the prior 2022-2023 school year were being recognized for outstanding academic achievement. The students were awarded for their hard work in maintaining a 4.00 grade point average and outstanding academic performance. During the banquet, teachers served a dinner, which was provided by Rebel Barn Catering, to the students and their families.
The principal, Sherri Brewer, spoke at the awards banquet. She commended the students on their hard work. She stated that the students were some of the best of the best, and she was proud of them for valuing a high academic performance. She encouraged them to keep up the good work and to continue placing an importance on their education. She concluded the awards by thanking the parents and families for coming and for supporting their student’s efforts in school.
