Portsmouth, Ohio — C.J. Fairchild, Jackson Feltner and Tyler Maynard haven’t played a game since March 12th but on Saturday at Branch Rickey Park you would have never noticed it after the former Bulldog trio went a combined 5-8 and helped Ashland Post 76 to a doubleheader sweep of Portsmouth Post 23 in the American Legion opener for both squads.

The Sixers scored six runs in the fifth inning to erase a 5-0 deficit the rally was spearheaded by Fairchild who led off the inning with a double.

Feltner pitched the final three innings to close out the victory. He gave up 4 hits, struck out 3 and surrendered 2 runs.
The three former Bulldogs finished with 5 hits, 5 runs scored and drove in five. Tyler Maynard tripled and Fairchild doubled.
The team can’t play in Kentucky until June 29th so they will be next in action on the 26th in Chillicothe Ohio.
