Williamson, W. Va. — On Saturday in the 16th Annual Hatfield /McCoy Shootout Tolsia (4-8) lost 76-71 in triple overtime to East Ridge (6-12) at the Williamson field house.
This was the longest game in the H/M Shootout’s history.
Tolsia jumped all over the Warriors in the first quarter and led 21-8 behind three pointers from Jared Switzer, Jacob Mollette and Rob Cantrell.
In the second quarter it was once again all Rebels as they led 36-22 with under a minute to go before Tolsia got sloppy and East Ridge made them pay with a 6-0 run to set the halftime score at 36-28, Tolsia.
In the third the Warriors continued the momentum and outscored Tolsia 14-5 to take a 42-41 lead in the fourth period.
In the 4th with East Ridge leading 57-55 Tolsia freshman Rob Cantrell calmly hit two free throws with 8.5 seconds to go to tie the score and send it to overtime.
In the first OT both teams scored 5 points with East Ridge getting a final shot to win it that missed.
In the second OT the Rebels had a chance to win it with the score tied at 69 but missed two free throws with 2.8 seconds left.
In the third OT the Rebels ran out of gas as two players fouled out and East Ridge closed it out at the foul line.
For the Rebels it was Jacob Mollette finishing with 17 points including 2 three pointers, Rob Cantrell and Jonathon Johnson with 16 points each, Jared Switzer tallied 9 points, Austin Salmons chipped in with 8 points, William Spaulding and Tyler Johnson had 2 points each.
THS hit 6 three pointers and went 15-28 from the line.

On Friday evening in the Hatfield/McCoy Shootout the Rebels faced the #3 team in the state as the Warriors of Wyoming East took care of the Rebels 85-41 at the Williamson field house.
Wyoming East hit 5 threes in the first period to take a 20-9 lead and stretched that out with a 26-11 second quarter to lead 46-20 at the half.
The second half was pretty much the same as the Warriors never let off the pedal on their way to victory.

Tolsia will return to action on Tuesday night and will face #2 in the state Tug Valley and then on Friday night against Man both games at Rebel Arena.
