Two men and two women were arrested on several drug charges involving heroin, according to a press release from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Drug Enforcement Unit, after members of the unit made undercover buys.from the four accused suspects.
Both of the arrested female suspects and one arrested male suspect are from the Louisa area, while the remaining male suspect is from the Wayne area.
Deputies on both sides of the river say the arrests, which were made Tuesday in Wayne and Wednesday in Louisa, happened after two undercover drug buys from Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit officers.
On Tuesday, March 1, Keith Pauley of Wayne, was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff Department, and was charged on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance charges. Those charges also were related to an undercover heroin buy involving the WCSDDEU.
Pauley was taken to Western Regional Jail in Barboursville, West Virginia; in Cabell County, were he posted bail late early late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday, March 2, Karen Rachel Roberts, 53, and Seth Sleasman, 19, both of Louisa, were arrested in Louisa are charged with one count of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy.
Leigha M. Blackburn 26, of Louisa, Kentucky, was arrested, and was charged with one count of delivery of a controlled substance, one count of aiding and abetting delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of conspiracy.
All three Louisa were taken into custody early Wednesday evening by Lawrence County Sheriff Garrett Roberts, along with deputies of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
All of the suspects were taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, were they remained jailed awaiting the required fugitives from another state warrants to be served, before they are released into custody of Wayne County law enforcement officials and transferred for their West Virginia arraignments .
Meanwhile, another Louisa resident was taken into custody by Wayne County police after being served a warrant at the jail in Paintsville.
Patrick K. Williamson, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on February 24, 2016 at 4:30 P.M., by Sergeant Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.
On March 1, Williamson was served a warrant at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center by deputies with Wayne County Sheriff Department, charging him with one count of delivery of a controlled substance.
Williamson was released into their custody and taken to the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville, where he was booked March 1st at 3:45 P.M., and he remains incarcerated on a $25,000 cash/surety bond.
