STILL NO WORD ON CAUSE OF FT. GAY WATER PROBLEM

FT. GAY. , W.Va. — The city of Ft. Gay has had its share of water problem in recent yeard with old, antiquated pipes being held together by the work of the utilities crew.

But this week the problem is a suspected contaminant discovered late Sunday night by customers who reported their water “smelled like 3-in-1 oil” and officials soon put out the no consuming word to the town of about 1,000 people.
