Cannonsburg, Ky. — Lawrence Co. ( 15-7 ) lost a heartbreaking 9-8 decision at Boyd County ( 18-10 ) on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning to take an 8-3 lead before the Lions scored six in the bottom of the seventh inning to get the win.
Emalynn Kitts had another good night against Boyd Co.
Emalynn Kitts had two hits including an inside the park home run and drove in three runs.
Addalyn Woods had two hits including a double, two runs batted in and scored three times, Brinley Baisden had two hits including a double and one RBI.
Abby Maynard and Leah Branham singled and scored a run, Jada Patton drove in a run, Millie Sammons and Aleaha Gillispie scored a run each.
Braylee Triplett suffered the loss going six and 2/3 innings, allowing 13 hits, 9 earned runs and 4 walks.

On Monday evening at home the Bulldogs pinned the Vikings with their second loss of the season.
Gracie Preece was a key factor for the Bulldogs victory over Symmes Valley.
Gracie Preece had three hits including a double, three runs batted in and scored two runs.
Addalyn Woods and Brinley Baisden two hits, two runs scored and two runs batted in each. Abby Maynard had two hits and two RBI’s, Emalynn Kitts doubled drove in two runs and scored a run.
Jada Patton singled, drove in two runs and scored a run, Bree Jones, Ella Smith and Addison Bowen each scored a run.
Taylor Blevins was the winning pitcher tossing all seven innings, allowing eight hits, seven earned runs, walking two and striking out seven.
The Bulldogs will travel to Floyd Central ( 13-7 ) on Thursday and Betsy Layne ( 7-7 ) on Friday to close out 58th District regular season play and then host Lewis Co. ( 9-14 ) on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 for their final home game of the year.
