RISEabove Opens One-Time Scholarship Applications for High School Seniors in Lawrence County

Lawrence County, KY — RISEabove, a local nonprofit dedicated to building stronger communities and empowering individuals, is proud to announce the opening of its 2025 scholarship program for high school seniors in Lawrence County.

This is the fourth consecutive year of the RISEabove scholarship program. These one-time scholarships are available to graduating seniors preparing to take their next step – whether that be entering the workforce, enrolling in a vocational or technical program, or pursuing a college education. The scholarships are designed to support students who have overcome personal or academic challenges and are committed to growing, contributing, and making a difference.

RISEabove will be awarding 3 students in total. Scholarship amounts will be (1) $1,000 scholarship and (2) $500 scholarships.

“RISEabove was created in 2016 to support people who are ready to take the next step

forward,” said Matt Brown, Board Chair and Founder of RISEabove. “These scholarships represent our belief in the potential of young people in Lawrence County – and our commitment to helping them launch strong, regardless of the path they choose.”
