Rep. Scott Sharp-Rep., Lawrence and Boyd Co.
.
Frankfort, Kentucky (June 24, 2026) – Representative Scott Sharp attends the Juvenile Justice Oversight Council committee’s first meeting of this year’s legislative interim.
Lawmakers take part in interim committee meetings at the Capitol Annex as they continue examining policy issues between regular legislative sessions. Committees, made up of members from the House and Senate, allow legislators to review existing laws, hear testimony, and prepare potential legislation for the upcoming session.
Kentuckians can monitor legislative work in several accessible ways, all available on the legislature’s website, legislature.ky.gov. Meeting agendas, presentation materials, and minutes from previous meetings are available on the legislature’s website under the committee section.
A weekly calendar is posted on the website, as well as a full schedule of committee meetings for the entire six-month interim. All meetings are open to the public and generally held in the Capitol Annex, and the calendars are updated to reflect schedule changes.
Those unable to travel to Frankfort may watch proceedings live through the Legislative Research Commission’s YouTube channel, KYLRCCommitteeMeetings, or through Kentucky Educational Television’s livestream service. Both platforms also maintain archives of past meetings.
Rep. Sharp can be reached anytime through the toll-free message line in Frankfort at 1-800-372-7181 or emailed at scott.sharp@kylegislature.gov.
