Schools in lawrence County were first put on a two-hour delay because of storms last night that roared through the area. High winds and heavy rain inundated the night hours and low areas swelled past their banks. No injuries or damage have been reported.

Mattie, 1760 and Shirt tale area… 1760 off 32 is still IMPASSABLE due to high water.

Due to ongoing high water issues across many areas, Lawrence County Schools will be closed today, February 6, 2025.
