Fort Gay, W. Va. — Tolsia (4-6) snapped a two game losing streak with a 62-57 come from behind victory over Cross Lanes Christian (8-4) Thursday night at Rebel Arena in Boys Basketball action.
The Rebels led 30-21 in the second quarter before the Warriors went on a 12-2 run to lead 33-32 at the break.
Tolsia fell behind 50-46 heading to the fourth quarter before rallying and outscoring Cross Lanes Christian 16-7 in the final stanza to pick up the win.
#13 Jared Switzer went 4-4 from the line in the final stanza to preserve a Rebel victory.
Jared Switzer who had 20 points to lead the Rebels went 4-4 from the line in the final quarter also hit 4 three pointers. Austin Salmons tallied 13 posits, Jacob Mollette finished with 12 points including 3 three pointers and 2 clutch free throws in the final 30 seconds, Rob Cantrell had 10 points including 2 three pointers and Jonathon Johnson chipped in with 7 points.
THS hit 9 three pointers and went 12-22 from the line.

The Rebels traveled to Williamson and fell behind 24-5 before making a furious rally that came up just short against the Eagles.
Tolsia was led by Austin Salmons who had a career high 27 points, Jacob Mollette tallied 18 points, Jared Switzer and Jonathon Johnson finished with 11 points each and Rob Cantrell chipped in with 7 points.
THS hit 4 three pointers and went 12-16 from the line.

Last Friday night the short handed Rebels hit the road for a sectional matchup with the Fighting Irish and came up short.
Jared Switzer led Tolsia with 16 points on 4 three pointers, Austin Salmons and Jonathon Johnson tallied 15 points each, Rob Cantrell had 11 points, Tyler Johnson finished with 9 points and William Spaulding went 2-2 from the line for 2 points.
THS hit 6 three pointers and went 14-22 from the charity stripe.

Tolsia will return to action Saturday night as they travel to Louisa to meet the Bulldogs from Lawrence Co. in a varsity only matchup.

“… They were big and their length gave us some trouble throughout the game. You know we are small and the dynamics of our team is to get out and score in transition. They really kept us in a half court game most of the night and our kids responded for the most part.”
“… Thought our kids showed some grit tonight with the comeback win. They had a will to win and it really showed in the second half.”
