FOURSOME FROM MICHIGAN INVOLVED IN SWITCH THEFT AND BAIT FOR CASH OPERATION INVOLVING AREA WALMART STORES; THREE OF FOUR SUSPECTS DISCOVERED TO BE WANTED OUT OF STATE FUGITIVES
L to R ZIONTAY K. BLACK, DARIUS M. GIVENS, MARQUIS J. THOMAS, & CHRISTOPHER WINE, ALL FOUR 20 YEARS OLD, AND ALL FROM FLINT, MICHIGAN; THEY WERE BUSTED AT THE LOUISA WALMART, WHILE UNDERTAKING A CRIMINAL THEFT OPERATION INVOLVING STOLEN ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT FROM ONE OR MORE AREA WALMART STORES.
Four young men from Michigan were arrested in Louisa Friday evening after they tried to return stolen property to the Louisa Walmart, with three in the group who were also wanted fugitives.
According to a statement by Louisa Police Chief Greg Fugitt, the Pikeville Police Department contacted the Louisa Police Department and informed them that they were investigating four men from another state after they were accused of stealing electronic merchandise and cash from local Walmart stores.
Chief Fugitt stated that they received additional information that the same four suspects were attempting to return the stolen merchandise for cash at the Louisa Walmart.
Louisa Police responded to the Louisa Walmart area and located the vehicle the suspects were using. Officers then conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle with the suspects were in, whereupon a search, they discovered numerous electronic items that had been fraudulently obtained or stolen.
All four men were arrested and were identified as Marquis J. Thomas, 20, Ziontay K. Black, 20, Christopher Wine, 20, and Darius M. Givens, 20; all from Flint, Michigan. The four suspects were each charged by the arresting officers with the following:
Ziontay K. Black was arrested by patrolman Greg Powers, and charged with
- RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $10,000 OR MORE,
- *ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME,
- *FUGITVIE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.
Darius M. Givens was arrested by sergeant Steven Wilburn, and charged with
- RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $10,000 OR MORE,
- ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME,
- FUGITVIE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.
Marquis J. Thomas was arrested by sergeant Steven Wilburn, and charged with
- RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $10,000 OR MORE,
- ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME.
Christopher Wine was arrested by patrolman Greg Powers, and charged with
- RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $10,000 OR MORE,
- ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME,
- FUGITVIE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.
The organized theft case is under investigation by Louisa Police Department Sergeant Steven Wilburn in conjunction with the Pikeville Police Department.

I was shocked when I saw this on Facebook, because my husband and I were up there and saw one of these men in the customer service line. I noticed he had the cookies with orange frosting pack in this hands and looked like he was trying to return them, which I found odd… but, didn’t see what else he had. Good job LPD!!

Well 4 of them were just arrested in Rock Springs Wy. Google the story from here. Can’t find much info from here yet. But I’m sure they will release some info at a later date after some more investigation.
