The Open Arms Animal Shelter operated by the Lawrence County Humane Society is not associated with the Lawrence County Animal Control and Care Shelter operated by the County. We are totally separate from the county now and have been since May 1. We are still getting calls daily from people who do not know we are separate facilities so we felt we needed to post this again!
