Please allow me to share my recent experience with Day Surgery at Three Rivers Medical Center:
September 30 arrived, and waiting was my appointment for dreaded hernia and related surgery. Molly (my wife) and I arrived early in the morning for the 7:30 am appointment. From almost the moment we stepped out of the car, we were greeted with giant smiles that continued all day long. At every turn, we received expert and no-limits assistance – Security, Reception, Day Surgery waiting rooms, Housekeeping, Anesthesia and the wonderful Surgery Team. That was remarkable. For us, the hospital conveyed a culture of joy, helpfulness and highest competency. If I could have had anything that I wanted, there was nothing more to ask for.
Who would ever dream that a day with such grim expectations would turn into an enjoyable and almost … fun … day! I got to go home early and pain-free.
