Gregory L. Scott, 35, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested in Lawrence County, on October 1, 2020, at 3:05 P.M., by patrolman officer Teddy B. Newsome, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Larry N. Waller, 48, of Williamson, West Virginia; was arrested on October 1, 2020, at 7:27 P.M., by Sheriff John H. Kirk, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.
According to the arrest citation report, Sheriff John H. Kirk wrote that he was dispatched to the scene of a one vehicle accident. Sheriff Kirk stated that the vehicle had left the scene and went to another location. Sheriff Kirk further stated he found Larry Waller parked behind a house. Larry Waller admitted to Sheriff Kirk he had taken a Roxicet 30 an hour or so earlier and a Neurontin. Larry Waller failed the field sobriety test and he admitted to driving the vehicle.
Ronnie D. Sweeney, 48, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on October 1, 2020, at 10:41 P.M., by Sheriff John H. Kirk, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1C) – 1ST OFFENSE.
Samuel R. Porter, 25,of Debord, Kentucky; was arrested on October 2, 2020, at 5:32 A.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department,and was charged with:
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Ronald Jeremy Jude, 38, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on October 3, 2020, at 12:13 A.M., by Constable Bradford Preece, the Martin County Constable Office-District 4, and was charged with:
• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE,
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),
• TERRORISTIC THREATENING, 3RD DEGREE .
According to the arrest citation report, Constable Brad Preece wrote in the report that he received several complaints about Jeremy Jude walking in people’s yards. One female neighbor advised Jeremy Jude was around her building. When the woman told Jeremy Jude to leave, he laughed at her. Constable Preece located Jeremy Jude up the hollow and advised him to go home and not to be back out. Not too long later, Constable Preece got another about Jeremy Jude being around the neighbor’s driveway, and then Constable Preece found Jeremy Jude on Route 2032.
Bruce Bowen Jr., 38, of Warfield, Kentucky; was arrested on October 3,2020, at 10:38 P.M., by deputy David Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• SERVING THREE BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT.
Ronnie D. Sweeney, 40, of Beauty, Kentucky; was arrested on October 4, 2020, at 9:21 P.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1D) – 1ST OFFENSE,
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
Christopher Michael Chaffins, 27, of Beauty, Kentucky; was arrested on October 5, 2020, at 1:47 P.M., by deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
According to the arrest citation report, deputy Lafferty wrote that he found one small bag containing a crystal like substance inside Christpher Chaffin’s cigarette pack, and that Chaffins stated to deputy Lafferty that it was meth.
Kristin Slone, 27, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on October 5, 2020, at 1:55 P.M., by William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

Kenny L. Crum, 44, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on October 5,2020, at 5:36 P.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 20 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 3).
Ronda K. Salmons, 50, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on October 5, 2020, at 5:37 P.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department,& was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 20 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 3).
Jeffery B. Marcum, 35, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on October 5,2020, at 8:17 P.M.,by deputy David Adams,of the Martin County Sheriff Department,& was charged with:
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
According to the arrest citation report, deputy David Adams wrote that Jeffrey Marcum was a passenger on an ATV when the driver was arrested, and that Jeffrey Marcum dropped a syringe behind him
Marion Marcum, 34, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on October 5,2020, at 8:35 P.M., by deputy David Adams and Sheriff John H. Kirk, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:
• ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES VIOLATIONS,
• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,
• POSSESSION A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,
• PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER 1ST OFFENSE,
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
According to the arrest citation report, deputy David Adams wrote that Sheriff Kirk made a traffic stop on Marion Marcum for operating an ATV and for no safety equipment. Sheriff Kirk asked Marion Marcum if he had anything on him, and that Marion Marcum pulled out two clear bags containing a leafy substance that Marcum said to Sheriff Kirk was marijuana. Inside Marion Marcum’s watch pocket was a small bag with 10 yellow round pills and a blue round pill that Marion Marcum said to both officers was Klonopin. In Marion Marcum’s left front was an empty syringe.
Joseph Stevens, 34, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on October 6, 2020, at 10:26 A.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department,and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• ASSAULT 3RD DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER OR PROBATION OFFICER.
Robert M. Moore, 33, of Debord, Kentucky; was arrested on October 6, 2020, at 2:38 P.M., by deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

Lillie A. Webb, 41, of Paintsville, Kentucky; was arrested on October 7, 2020, at 4:33 P.M., by trooper Ryan Hale, of the Kentucky State Police, Post 9-Pikeville, Ky., and was charged with:
• SERVING PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT.
Samuel Martin Horn, 47, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on October 7,2020, at 5:33 P.M., by Sheriff John H. Kirk and deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
According to the arrest citation report, deputy Lafferty wrote that he assisted Sheriff Kirk on a call about a man passed out on the side of road on Old Route 3. Deputy Lafferty wrote further that two bags of a crystal like substance and one used syringe were found on Samuel Horn, who advised deputy Lafferty and Sheriff Kirk that the substance was meth.
Steven R. Davis, 37, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested in Fayette County, Ky., on October 7, 2020, at 9:43 P.M., by officer A. Hamby, of the Lexington Police Department, and was charged with:
• SERVING THREE WARRANTS (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).
Alicia D. Howard, 37, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on October 9, 2020, at 12:27 A.M.,by deputy David Adams,of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Deputy William Tyler Lafferty arrested and took into custody Reginald Bush at the United States Penitentiary, Inez; and Reginald Bush was charged with murder.
