March 11, 1937 — June 2, 2026
Mrs. Minnie K. See, 89, of Louisa, KY, passed to Glory, to be with her Jesus, on June 2, 2026.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Mr. J. Lynn See, and her daughter, Debbie DeLong, her favorite son-in-law, Dan DeLong, and her three precious grandchildren, whom she adored: Corey DeLong and his wife, Rebecca, Tierney Qualls, and her husband, Josh, and Andrew DeLong, and his wife, Jess. Minnie was further blessed with seven great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Hannah, Addy, Kyndall, Atreyu, Parker, Keeton, and Maelyn.
Mrs. See has now been reunited with her parents, J. W. and Eunice Bailey Kincaid, her son, Tim J. See, as well as her beloved siblings: three brothers, Kenneth Kincaid, James Kincaid, and Charles Kincaid, and two sisters: Jean Campbell and Muriel Connor.
Mrs. See was born on March 11, 1937, in Winchester, KY, and raised in Beattyville, KY, along with her 7 brothers and sisters, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. After graduating from Lee County High School, she and her best friend, Wilma Shoemaker Doyle, moved to the big city of Lexington, KY, to seek their fortune, which came in the form of their loving husbands.
J. Lynn See married Minnie Kincaid on April 4, 1958, in Lexington, KY and began the trek to move to J. Lynn’s home county of Lawrence. Mrs. See worked at Louisa Medical Clinic and Kentucky Power, as Secretary to the Plant Manager, retiring in 1997. She made many lifelong friends in her working career, and fully utilized her work skills by putting your name on your Christmas gift in shorthand. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, cold and blustery February Sunday afternoons were spent collecting donations for the American Heart Association. Minnie would take her daughter and go up and down the Point Section of Lawrence County, knocking on neighbor’s doors, and talking to them about the work of the American Heart Association.
Mrs. See was interested in sharing her gift of sewing with the youth of Lawrence County, and taught a 4H Sewing class in her home. She shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with the youth of her church, Louisa United Methodist Church (which later became Hilltop Methodist Church) by teaching Sunday School. She served on many committees in her church, and was a very active member of the Louisa United Methodist Women’s Group. Mrs. See was a wonderful cook, with apple pie being her specialty. She shared her Mother’s recipe and tips. She made pies for many, many people in our community and the surrounding area, and assisted in fundraising for the new church building by making and selling her pies. She organized and modeled the process for many in the church, to make the fundraising a huge success. She loved to sew, read, and spend time with her family. She could out shop the best of the best, frequently encountering what J. Lynn referred to as the “call of the mall”! Mrs. See’s services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Hilltop Methodist Church, 816 Pine Hill Road, Louisa, KY.
Visitation will be from 11:00 – 12:00, with the service to begin at 12:00. Burial will be in the See Cemetery. Young Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. See.
