LOUISA, KY. — On October 17, 2018 at approximately 9:53pm the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of South Pocahontas Street near Hwy 2565 in reference to a report of a motorcycle accident.
Upon arrival Deputy Dwayne Bowen located a motorcycle and operator just off the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle appeared to have been traveling southbound when it left the right side of the roadway going into the ditch line before coming to rest.
The motorcycle operator was identified as Joseph A. Daniels, 36, of Louisa. Daniels was pronounced deceased by a Lawrence County
Coroner on scene.
Other agencies assisting at the scene were Netcare Ambulance, Louisa Police Department and Louisa Fire Department. The accident is currently under investigation by Deputy Dwayne Bowen.
